Seventh week
Topic :
Testing
This week we observed tests that performed in
school. Our class was second grade students’s class so we had no chance to
observe their tests but we learned how to be done assesment of them. Teacher was
using of formative assessment to evaluation of students’ progress. On the other
hand we had chance to investigate 7th and 4th grade students’ tests.
In 4th grade students’ test was achievement
test. Their knowledge of a certain period was measured by the aid of tests. It
was designed to test a broad spectrum of language skills at the same time. Also , there was not
only objective but subjective test. Questions were related what they had learnt before. They
were all general, that is to say, no candidate had chance to give an answer
culturally or their knowledge of chemistry e.g.
Instructions
were very clear. On the other hand, there was an example that it showed how to
answer the questions. Testing of one skill did not depend on ability in another
skill. When we checked their book , students were familiar with the questions
and instructions. Time of test was enough to fulfill.Test had content validity
and repating of same subject could gave an idea about realiability of the test.
Students’ knowledge was measured with different types of questions such as
cloze test , multiple –choice test and true-false test e.g.
There were also reading , vocabulary ,
grammar , writing and listening parts. I
was suprised especially their listening part. Because it was really hard to
find it in government school.
In 7th garde students’ test was also achievement test and it was composed by
two different test type that were objective and subjective. Diagnostic test
were used only when students came from government school. In their test, there
was not much more picture than younger students’ test. There was no example
showed how to answer questions. Their test was composed what they were taught.
It had same format features with the 4th grade students’ test. It had also
reading , vovabulary , grammar , writing and listening parts. Also it there was
a general questions part that students’ could give answer according to them.
