Class : 7th gardes
Time : The class period is
40-minute.Times listed fort he activities are approximate.Times for each of
activities will vary depending on literacy level of the class and other
factors.A specific lesson plan will always occur in the context of prior and
subsequent lessons and objectives and other class activities.
Overall objective : By the end
of the lesson,students will learn what is “used to” and how to use it in sentence.
Behavioral Objectives :
Students will learn habits which were done in past that now they are not
done.Also they will learn some new words.

book
Stages of the Lesson :
Warm Up / Review ( 5 min. )
From previous lesson,review habits
that children or their family have.
Introduction
“ Today we are going to talk about habits
which were done in past but now not by using “used to”.
Presentation (15 min.)
1-Open the page which include “used
to” in student’s book.
2-Read the dialogues to the
students.Ask if they were right about what is happening.
3-Read the dialogue again and ask
the following comprehension questions :
When did the patient give up smoking ? Which sports Mr Black did play
?
What did grandfather watch in past
?
4-Have the class practice the
dialogue several times,repeating each sentence after you.Then divide the class
in half and have one half repeat each dialogues.
5-Have the students read the
dialogues and ask if there are any words they do not know.If so,discuss the
meanings.
6-Show the dialogues in projector
and brainstorm with the whole class their habits in past.
7-Have students work in pairs to
read the dialogues.
Practice (15 min.)
1-Answer the question about “used
to”.
2-In pairs,students play dramas
according to dialogues.
3-As a whole class,brainstorm a
list of the students habits that they did in past but now not.
In pairs,have the students practice
the dialogues.
Evaluation (5 min.)
1-In pairs,have students create
their own dialogues.
2-Have each pair come to the front
of the class and demonstrate thier dialogues.
3- Ask them question about how they
use “used to” in their dialogue.

1-How did you
determine the overall aim of the lesson? Could you be able to write it down
easily or did you have any particular difficulties ? Please explain.
I determined the overall aim of
the lesson by observing the dialogue and paying attention of general and broad
subject.Because aims are statements of endpoints or outcomes of education.By
educational objectives, I mean explicit formulations of the ways in which
students are expected to be changed by
the educative process.That is,the ways in which they will change in thier
thinking,their feelings and their actions.So,I can write it down easily.
2-How did decide the behavioral objectives ? Could you be able to write
them down easily or did you have any particular difficulties ? Please explain.
I decided the behavioral objectives with the aid of the aim of learning
that is always to enable the learner to do something which he could not to do
at the begining of the learning process.So,I can write it down easily.
3-Write down the main stages you actually followed in the lesson and
explain how you decided the lenght of the each stage.
Warm up / Review,introduction,presentation,practice,evaluation are the
main stages of I followed.I decided their lenght to their importance.That
is,presentation and practice is much longer than warm up / review,introduction
and evaluation.Because in presentation I try to teach subject and in practice I
try to repeat it and I think by doing it subject can be learnt easily and much
more memorable.
4-How did you move from one stage to next ? Explain.
I moved from one stage to next accordingly paying attention to stages of
lesson plan.Specificly,I tried to remember them to last week’s subject and attract their attention.Later there were
semi-controlled stages and repetition.Finally they were productive.Step by step
it was hardened.
5-What sort of classroom
organizations (individual/pair/group/full class) did you follow ? Please
explain by giving your reasons.
Firstly,they read the dialogues individually in silent.Because it is
much more memorable.Then in pair,they read the dialogues.Because if they have a
diffuculty in understanding,they can help each other.Finally,they read and
brainstorm as a full class.
Because it is to repetition and
learn very well.
6-How could you evaluate your
activities in terms of diffuculty ? (Demanding and non-demanding ones.) Please
briefly explain the order you followed.
My activities move from easy to difficult and from teacher controlled to
production of students.
7-How active / passive you kept
your students during the lesson ?
By asking questions all of them and in
pairs they read the dialogue,then we did practice.
I kept them active as possible as I did.
8-Thinking that this was your first
lesson planning experience,share with us the particular pleasure and problems
you have had during this process.What were the easiest and the most diffucult
parts during this lesson planning ?
It was enjoyable for me and I was
excited.I feel I was a teacher really.But I had problems what would we do in
practice.It must be enjoyable and instructive also
attentive.Introduction,presentation and evaluation were easy for me but I had
difficulty in preparing activity.
